Jason Owens, 45, of North Aurora, has worked at the Aurora Township Highway Department since 2010. He was first hired as recycling coordinator and later promoted in 2012 to serve as Deputy Commissioner.
In addition, he has served as Deputy township Clerk for many years and was appointed to fill the unexpired township Clerk term after the passing of Ken Christy in 2016.
Prior to working at the Road District, Owens worked in the mortgage industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and public administration from Augustana College.
