Campbell, who was appointed an Associate\nJudge in the 16<sup>th<\/sup> Judicial Circuit earlier this&nbsp;month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The township Clerk is clerk of the town board of trustees and is official\nkeeper of all records except for active General and Emergency Assistance cases.\nThe Clerk is required to keep accurate records of all Town Board meetings and\nalso serves as ex-oficio clerk of the Road District. The clerk must be present\nfor bid openings for both the township and road&nbsp;district.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By state law, candidates to fill this vacancy must be a registered Democrat\nliving in Aurora Township. Persons are considered a \u201cregistered Democrat\u201d if\nthey voted in the last Democratic primary&nbsp;election.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The township Board will call a special meeting solely for the purpose of choosing\na new township Clerk on April 19, 2020 at the township\u2019s main offices, 80 N.\nBroadway. Prospective candidates will be offered an opportunity to make a&nbsp;brief\npresentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested candidates are asked to submit their resumes with a cover letter\nno later than 4 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2020 to the Aurora Township main\noffice, 80 N.
