Angie Thomas is a nonprofit professional, community engagement leader, and citizen advocate. A native of Silver Spring, MD, Angie has been an active Aurora resident for nearly 20 years. Angie has consulted with and led Fox Valley area nonprofits to secure critical resources, expand supportive programs and services, and empower individuals and families. In 2016, Angie was elected to the Kane County Board where she represented Aurora’s far west side for one term. Her volunteer service includes the City of Aurora Civil Service Commission, City of Aurora 2020 Census Complete Count Committee (Vice Chair), Loaves & Fishes Community Services Board of Directors, Kensington Lakes Homeowners Association Board, Aurora Historical Society Board of Trustees. Angie received a B.S. in Communication from the University of Miami and an MBA from The American University in Washington, D.C. As Clerk, Angie is committed to ensuring Aurora Township residents can easily access information that is accurate, timely, and relevant.
