Starting May 1, Aurora Township will require all Ride in Kane passengers to wear face coverings.
Aurora Township Supervisor Bill Catching said that they have ordered and hope to supply passengers that do not have a face covering with one when this state executive order goes into effect. In the meantime, the township asks all Ride in Kane passengers to acquire and to voluntarily wear a face covering for the safety of our drivers and the public.
“I’d like to send out a special thank you to our drivers who continue to serve the public in these difficult times, ” Catching said. “They should be recognized along with the other essential employees and first responders on the front line.”
Face-coverings will be required in Illinois’ public indoor spaces, such as stores. This new requirement applies to all individuals over the age of two who are able to medically tolerate a face-covering or a mask.
