On Tuesday August 5, Aurora Township will join thousands of communities nationwide in celebrating the 31st Annual National Night Out.
Our celebration will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Aurora Township Youth Center, 313 Gale St. and include food, fun and games for the whole family.
National Night Out is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
- Generate support for, and participation in local anti-crime efforts
- Strengthen neighborhoods and police-community partnerships
After our event, residents in neighborhoods throughout Aurora Township are asked from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday to turn on your outside lights and spend the evening outside with neighbors.
